Jemimah Barwa, Mami’s Country Representative, participated in the Founders Connect Pitching Competition, showcasing her ability to effectively communicate Mami’s mission beyond the founder’s voice. The competition unfolded in three stages, starting with a submission of a form and a one-minute video pitch. Advancing to the second stage, Jemimah pitched live in front of judges alongside other contestants, gaining valuable experience and visibility for Mami. Although we did not progress to the final stage, the journey was a meaningful opportunity for networking with other founders and organisations, furthering awareness of Mami’s cause and creating potential partnerships. This experience demonstrated the team’s growing capacity to represent and advocate for Mami’s impactful work.
